Horse shoes and dancing

May 21, 2009

Dear FAMM supporter --

Wow, we're getting close!  Thanks to a flood of contributions received over the past week, FAMM's May Challenge has now raised $75,000, and we're well on our way to our goal of $100,000. I'm so grateful to everyone who has sent donations - big and small - to help us fight for sane sentencing laws.

But we can't stop now.

Remember, if we reach our goal we'll get an additional $50,000 from a friend of FAMM!  When I was a kid, my Dad told me that "close" only counts when throwing horse shoes or dancing.  So if we want to take advantage of this great opportunity to receive a $50,000 bonus contribution, we have to reach our mark - not just get close to it.

Your donation will help us meet that goal and keep the heat on Members of Congress and state legislators to vote for individualized sentencing policies.  The timing couldn't be better - I haven't seen this much legislative interest in reforming one-size-fits-all sentencing laws for years!

With only 11 days left to bring in the remaining $25,000, we need to raise $2,273 every day between now and May 31st.  I know we can do it, but not without your help.  Please make a donation to FAMM today and spread the word about the May Challenge!

My best --

Julie
