Development associate

Join an innovative and influential nonprofit working to reform the criminal justice system! Families Against Mandatory Minimums (FAMM) seeks a dynamic Development Associate to help take our development department to the next level. The Associate will work under the supervision of the Development Director and will be responsible primarily for gift processing, acknowledging donations, direct mail assistance and major donor research.

 

Roles and responsibilities:


• Process donations and record donation and membership data in FAMM’s fundraising database (Sage Fundraising 50).
• Send donation acknowledgements on an ongoing basis and generate creative ways to communicate with donors.
• Conduct in-depth research and analysis of current and prospective donors using internet databases and Wealth Point.
• Assist with quarterly direct mail program. 
• Assist with miscellaneous development activities as needed.

 

Qualifications:


• Associates degree or higher, or two years of work experience.
• Proficiency in the use of computers, basic software, and internet research.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with staff at all levels.
• Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
• Agreement with FAMM’s mission and vision.
